How to Play
The objective of the
ZoomTown Hoops Challenge is to accumulate the most points by correctly
selecting the "winning pick" for each of the sixty-five (65)
match-ups associated with the Division 1 men’s college basketball tournament.
From all eligible entries received, the top entry will be determined based on
accumulating the most points during the Challenge Period. Scoring for each round is shown below:
·
First Round – 1
points
·
Second Round – 2
points
·
Third Round – 4
points
·
Fourth Round – 6
points
·
Fifth Round – 8
points
·
Sixth round – 10
points
Entrants are required to
submit the answer to one (1) tiebreaker question to be used for tiebreaking
purposes only. The tiebreaker is a prediction of the total points scored in the
championship game. In the event that one
or more entrants has the same number of points at the conclusion of the
tournament, the entrants’ predicted score of the championship game will be
compared to the actual score of the championship game. The difference between
the predicted total scores and the actual total score will be calculated, and
the entry with the smallest total difference is considered the top entry.
Once the bracket has been submitted, the contestant is
officially participating. Submitted brackets are final. Bracket picks cannot be changed once the
bracket has been submitted and requests to make changes to a submitted bracket
will not be granted. Scores will be
tallied and posted as games are played on the ZoomTown Hoops Challenge webpage
under Pool Details/Current Standings.
