Contest Rules:
OFFICIAL "State Farm's Hoopmania Contest" RULES
PRELIMINARY INFORMATION: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. THE OBJECTIVE SCORING CRITERIA SET FORTH HEREIN SHALL BE USED TO DETERMINE WINNERS. YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO PARTICIPATE. YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE “STATE FARM'S HOOPMANIA” CONTEST (THE "CONTEST") CONSTITUTES YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND AGREEMENT THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND, AND AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THESE RULES.
TO ENTER: The "State Farm's Hoopmania Contest” (the "Contest") will be open for registration beginning March 5, 2009. Click on the promotional ads and complete the registration fields, which may include name, address, telephone number and e-mail address and other information. Submit your registration by registering at http://www.tourneytopia.com/Pools/journalscene/Login.aspx . You may come back between March 15, 2009 and March 19, 2009 to select your winning teams via the brackets presented. The “winner” will have selected the most winning teams correctly, or, in the case of a tie, the tie will be decided by which participant chose a score closest to the closing score of the last game.
CAUTION: Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any online service or web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages and/or other remedies from any such person to the full extent permitted by law.
ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE: Contest open to residents of the United States of America, eighteen (18) years of age or older. Employees of Evening Post Company (the "Company") and their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliate companies, as well as their respective advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) and/or persons living in the same households as such persons are not eligible to enter the win.
ELIGIBILITY TO WIN: Employees or family members of Evening Post Company or affiliated entities are not eligible to win. Winners will be notified E-Mail after the completion of the contest. Return of prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.
Winners may waive their right to receive a prize. Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed, except that prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability, and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned within five (5) days of date of postmark. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release within five (5) days, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may, at the sole discretion of Sponsor, result in a winner's disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of prize to an alternate winner. Except where prohibited, participation in the contest constitutes entrant's consent to the publication of his or her name and image in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation.
WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT/ RULES: For an additional copy of these Official Rules or the name of the winners (available 7 days after the contest ends) send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: “State Farm's Hoopmania Contest” ( 104 E. Doty Ave., Summerville, SC 29483)
HOW TO PLAY: Visit http://www.tourneytopia.com/Pools/journalscene/Login.aspx and register your user name, create a password and enter your e-mail. From March 15 through the 19 you may select your brackets. When the final results of all the games are the participant with the most correct picks will be named the winner and receive the prize(s) as previously stated.
